Barcoo Shire Memorial Park

For an informal family outing in Jundah, the park has a children’s playground as well as picnic and barbecue facilities. Toilets and showers are also available, making it practical for a play break, picnic lunch or relaxed gathering.

Remote Area Families Service (RAFS)

RAFS is a mobile family and early-learning service reaching Windorah and surrounding areas. Families can access home visits, mobile playgroups, play-based activities, toy and parent resource libraries, support packs, information by phone or email, and referrals. The voluntary, free early-childhood program focuses on children up to and including five, while related parenting resources and support extend to parents of children up to 12. Remote Family Care Service

Children up to and including five who cannot access mainstream early childcare because of where they live may be able to receive a short-term early-learning program at home. A qualified educator can deliver the program for up to three weeks across regional, rural and remote Queensland. Government assistance may be available; phone 0407 629 769 to discuss access.

Queensland parents, grandparents and carers of children of any age can seek confidential counselling and support about parenting, school challenges, relationships, family conflict, separation, co-parenting, behaviour or anxiety. Unpaid carers—including parents and relatives caring for someone with disability, illness, mental health needs or frailty—can discuss their caring role with a local service provider.
